This "Just For Joy" Zuppa Italiana, Herb & Cheese Soup will transport your customers to sunny Italy!  The premium cheeses, herbs and spices in this soup mix are unmistakably Italian!  (In fact, your customers may find themselves humming "That's Amore" and insist on serving this wonderful Italian "zuppa" by candlelight with their favorite vino!)  This "Zuppa Italiana" may be prepared by simply adding water and simmering.  However, it can also be used as a base for many other Italian-style soups.  It comes with a packet of hot sauce that, if your clients are so inclined, is great for adding a little excitement to their soup!

Our recipe for "Just for Joy" Black Bean Soup is adapted from a recipe brought back from Cuba in 1950 by my husband's favorite "Unc" and the beloved "Auntie".  In those days, Havana was all the rage!  The food was a new adventure in an ever expanding world of tastes and cultures!  Later, family gatherings would not have been the same without their re-telling of raucous Cuban escapades over rich, delicious bowls of Auntie's incredible beans (aka Turtle Beans) and Rice.  It is difficult to to improve on perfection, so we have used the same seasonings and brown rice in our soup as in the original recipe.  The most significant difference is it now has "Just Add Water" convenience!  We hope that you enjoy this recipe from our own family achives as much as we enjoy sharing it with you!
