This "Just For Joy" Zuppa Italiana, Herb & Cheese Soup will transport you to sunny Italy! The premium cheeses, herbs and spices in this soup mix are unmistakably Italian! (In fact, you may find yourself humming "That's Amore" and insist on serving this wonderful Italian "zuppa" by candlelight with your favorite vino!)
This "Zuppa Italiana" may be prepared by simply adding water and simmering. Simply serve it with a generous loaf of crusty Italian bread and mangia, mangia! (eat, eat!) However, it can also be used as a base for many other Italian-style soups:
Peasant Bread Soup: Ladle the soup over a toasted buttered Italian bread slice and top with grated cheese.
Alfredo Diavlo (Hot Soup): Add one cup of cooked pasta (tortellini is magnificent) and the entire packet of the mini hot pepper sauce (but only if you dare!)
Zuppa Primavera: Add 1/2 a cup of cooked pasta, one shredded chicken breast and one cup of cooked vegetables.
