Connor Creek French Canadian Pea Soup Recipe:

Bring 9 cups (2.1 L) of water to a rolling boil in a large stockpot. Carefully pour the pea soup mix contents into the boiling water. Add ½ cup (125 ml.) white wine (optional) and cooked, diced meat (chicken, sausage, ham etc.) if desired. Cover pot and reduce heat to medium low. Cook for approximately 2 1/2 - 3 hours or until tender, stirring occasionally. Add water during cooking time if the soup becomes too thick. Serve immediately with fresh, crusty bread. Add salt & pepper to taste and enjoy!
